I'm asking each performing organization $150 for publication of
their review. I arrived at that figure by calculating that it
takes me 6 hours to write and publish a review, and deciding what was
the minimum rate I could accept for my professional efforts. For
that, each organization gets:
- Front-page display for their review,
- A link to the PDF of their performance's program,
- Inclusion of images (up to 4) which they provide,
- Online access to any reviews of their organization that I have
ever published,
- Permanent online availability of their review,
- Sharing (through the cloud, i.e. Dropbox) of their review
materials with their designated representative.
The idea behind this last point is to give each performing
organization their own access to their reviews so they can save them on
their own media as a permanent record, should this website ever be
discontinued.
For Those Who Can't Afford It
- I have already published complimentary reviews, and I
will continue to do so —
occasionally.
- For performing organizations composed of employed adults or even
retirees, it's hard to imagine that one member or a group of members
wouldn't want to pitch in to cover the cost of this special service
for their fellow members.
- So how about colleges and schools or other thinly financed
organizations? Maybe there are parents or other relatives who
care enough to honor the work of their performers.
- Or maybe even there is someone reading this who has no personal
connection to a performing organization, but who admires their work
enough to sponsor a review.
